This is a wonderful glass jar embossed "Trade Mark Lightning" on the side and "Putnam 238" lightly on the bottom with matching lid and wire bail. The color is a dark amber - I tried to capture the color but it is stunning. The 1/2 gallon jar measures 10 1/4" in height by approximately 4 1/4" in diameter at the base. The glass has great bubbles and whittling - normal wear around the opening. A beautiful dark amber Lightning jar.
